I don't own both, but have played both and compared them. The more expensive thing isn't always better. That's just how it is, and sometimes you just have to have faith and accept that. There are lower quality guitars (some Gibsons, maybe) which are more expensive than PRS, and probably equal or higher quality guitars priced lower. For whatever reason, PRS has established itself at their particular price point, and that's what we, the market, have deemed them to be worth. Things are worth what people are willing to pay. But even if PRS didn't have much higher expenses, the price difference still wouldn't necessarily be unusual. They may be holding to high prices or even raising them slightly because they have no choice. Since then, i've played a lot of the newer ones. For 1800-1900 at the time, still not cheap, but was a good guitar. If you want to dive bomb.this is not the guitar. The trem is ok, with the locking tuners it will pretty much keep it in tune. I don't really like any of there pups, but that personal taste. The claim at the time was it will sound like a Fender and a of course sounds like sounds like a PRS.

I only like the wide thin neck.did not like the standard.but thats just me. I played about 10 of them to find the best playing one. I played alot of them when they first came out, as my keyboard player had to have 1. As Stated.you can build a CT to anything you want.
